You can send crypto from any account in NUFI. The steps are the same for hot wallet and hardware wallet accounts, except for how you approve the transaction at the end.
Before you send
- Check the network. Only send to an address on the same blockchain. For example, send SOL only to a Solana address. Crypto sent to an address on the wrong chain may be lost.
- Keep some native token for fees. Every transaction pays a network fee in the chain's own token. To send USDC on Solana, you need a little SOL; to send tokens on Ethereum, you need a little ETH.
- Hardware wallet? Connect and unlock your device first. Ledger users should also open the relevant app on the device, such as Solana or Ethereum.
Steps
- Start a send. Either:
- click Send at the top of the Home screen, or
- click the send arrow (↗) next to the asset in your assets list.
- Choose the account to send from, using the account dropdown.
- To send to an account in your NUFI wallet, select 'My account' then choose the account.
To send to an external address, select 'External address' and paste the address. - Enter the amount. Click MAX to send everything in the account minus the network fee.
- Check the fee and total, then click Continue.
- Review the summary. Check the address, amount and fee carefully. Blockchain transactions can't be reversed.
- Approve the transaction:
- Hot wallet: enter your NUFI wallet password and click Continue.
- Hardware wallet: follow the prompt to sign on your device. Check the recipient address and amount on the device's screen, and make sure they match what you entered in NUFI, then approve on the device.
- Done. NUFI confirms the transaction has been submitted. Click Close to go back, or New transaction to send again.
You can track the transaction in the account's History tab.
Tips
- Test first: for large amounts or a new address, send a small test amount first.
- Double-check pasted addresses: some malware swaps copied addresses, so compare the first and last few characters.
