To receive crypto, give the sender your account's address. The steps are the same for hot wallet and hardware wallet accounts.


Steps
  1. Open the receive screen. Either:
    • click Receive at the top of the Home screen and select an asset
    • click the receive arrow (↙) next to the asset in your assets list.
  2. Choose the account you want to receive into.
  3. The screen shows that account's address and QR code: give these details to the sender, or enter them yourself into whichever interface you're using to send crypto.
  • Incoming funds appear in your balance once the blockchain confirms the transaction. That takes seconds on most chains and can take longer on Bitcoin.
  • If they don't show up, click the refresh icon at the top right.

Hardware wallet accounts: verify on device

Click Verify address on the receive screen to show the address on your hardware wallet's own screen. Compare it with the address in NUFI, character by character or at least the first and last few characters, then confirm on the device.


  • This matters because your computer could be compromised. Malware can change the address shown in a browser without you noticing, but it can't change what your hardware wallet displays.
  • If the two addresses match, you know the funds will reach your device. If they don't match, don't share the address. Contact NUFI support instead.
  • Verifying is optional, but we recommend it the first time you use an address, and whenever you're receiving a large amount.

Before you send to your address
  • Use the right chain. Tell the sender which network to use. A Solana address only receives Solana-network assets, and a Bitcoin address only receives BTC.
  • EVM accounts: your address is the same on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, BNB Chain and other EVM chains, so the sender must choose the correct network. If they send on a chain you haven't enabled in NUFI, the funds are safe but hidden: enable that chain via the gear icon next to Blockchains to see them.
  • Receiving from an exchange: pick the matching network in the exchange's withdrawal form. If you're unsure, send a small test amount first.
