Demonstration 1: Delete Profile
Please note that this will not completely delete your profile. You will still be able to recover the wallet, provided you have the recovery phrase, after following these steps (see the articles Show Recovery Phrase and Import/Recover an Existing Wallet for more information).
Step 1: Access NuFi Wallet
You will be shown the Portfolio page
Step 2: Settings
Navigate to Settings
You will then be shown a list of settings, as shown below:
Step 3: Delete Profile
In the ‘Delete Profile’ section, press ‘Delete Profile’
Step 4: Confirm Deletion
You will then be asked to enter the password for the wallet, as well as the name of the wallet.
Once you have done that, press ‘Delete my profile’
Step 5: NuFi Log in Page
You will then be taken to the NuFi Log In page.
If you have any other wallet credentials stored in the browser, as is the case in this example, they will appear in the list of wallets you can choose to log in to.
If you do not have any other saved wallet, you will see Create New Wallet screen.
Demonstration 2: Clear Browser Cookies & Cache
As your account details are only stored locally on your PC, you can delete your profile by clearing cookies and cache in your browser.
Guidance on how to do this for various browsers:
For Google Chrome, see this article
For Microsoft Edge, see this article for cookies and this article for cache
For Safari on iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, see this article
For Safari on Mac, see this article
For Brave browser, see this article
Incognito Mode
To access your wallet whilst using Incognito mode, you will have to restore your wallet using your mnemonic/seed phrase.
Your profile won’t be saved once you close the browser window in incognito mode, so you will not need to delete your profile.
How to recover a deleted wallet
If you deleted your wallet, you can recover it using your mnemonic/seed phrase. See the article Import/Recover an Existing Wallet for more information.
