Deleting a profile removes the wallet from this browser. It doesn't touch your funds, which stay on the blockchain, and you can restore the wallet later.
Before you delete: make sure you have your recovery phrase written down (see Show your recovery phrase). Without it, you can't restore your hot wallet accounts. Hardware wallet accounts can be re-paired from the device.
Steps
- Open NUFI and log in.
- Click Settings in the left-hand sidebar.
- Under Delete wallet, click Delete wallet.
- Enter your wallet password and wallet name, then click Delete wallet.
You'll return to the login screen. If other NUFI profiles are saved in this browser, they'll be listed there; otherwise you'll see the Create new wallet screen.
Other ways a profile gets removed
- Clearing browser data: NUFI profiles are stored only in your browser, so clearing site data (or removing the extension) also deletes them.
- Incognito/private mode: profiles aren't saved at all and disappear when you close the window.
