Please note the following: 

  • Ensure you export a new backup file after making any changes within your wallet!
  • A wallet backup will contain both mnemonic and hardware accounts. It is the easiest and fastest way to import your wallet to another device. 
  • In contrast, if you restore a wallet using a recovery phrase, your hardware wallets will not be restored and will have to be re-imported. Therefore, it is faster to restore a wallet from a backup. 
  • Restoring via a wallet backup is recommended for users who access their wallet using Incognito/Private Browsing, or clear their cache, to avoid entering a recovery phrase every time you restore your wallet

Step 1: Log in to your NuFi account 

In order to add an account, you should be logged in to your NuFi account.


 

The Portfolio screen will be displayed, as shown below.


Step 2: Settings


Press ‘Settings’, on the left-hand side of the Portfolio screen.



 
You will see the below settings:

 


Step 3: Export Profile


In the Export profile section, press ‘Export Profile’.



Step 4: Save Download


A wallet backup will be downloaded, with your wallet name, in the .json format, as shown below. Store this file securely so you can obtain a wallet backup in future. 



Step 5: Store Backup File


Store the backup file in a safe location on your device.
