Step 1: Access NuFi Wallet


Access NuFi wallet. 


Ensure your Trezor device is connected, the firmware is up to date and Trezor Suite is not running.  


You will be taken to Portfolio page, as shown below:

Step 2: Staking


Navigate to ‘Staking’ in the left-hand corner, as shown below:

No previous staking


If you do not have any staked assets, you will be taken to the ‘What is staking’ page:

To begin staking, select ‘My staking’:

Already Staking


If you have previously staked assets, you will be taken directly to ‘My staking’:

Step 3: Select Asset


The assets that are available to be staked will be shown.  


This example will demonstrate using Cardano that is stored within a Trezor Model T account. 


No Previous Staking


If you have not previously staked any assets, you will be shown the below. 


Press ‘Start staking’ on the asset you wish to begin staking for.

Already Staking


If you have assets staked already, NuFi wallet will display ‘My Staking’:

In this demonstration, some ADA has already been staked, however since we wish to stake some more, select ‘My staking’.  




Step 4: Select Account


The list of available accounts will then be displayed. 


Select ‘Stake’ on the account you want to begin staking for. In this scenario, we will be demonstrating using the Trezor Model T account:

Step 5: Staking Options


You will then be shown the below, where you can select options for staking:

Account


Step 4 demonstrates how to select the account you wish to stake; however, this can be changed by using the dropdown shown below. 


In this example, we will not be changing the account selected for staking, therefore this step is just for information.

Staking Pool


Ticker, Name, PoolId, pool1…


You will be shown a list of stake pools to select from, as shown beneath ‘Other’ in the below image. Use the scroll bar to navigate the list, then select the pool you wish to join.

Alternatively, in the ‘Ticker, Name, Poolld, pool1…’ box, you can manually input details of the stake pool you want to join.  


Once you have selected the stake pool, details of the stake pool will be displayed:



Stake Pool Details Explained


Name


This is the name of the stake pool


APY

The percentage rate reflecting the total amount of staking rewards projected to be earned over an annual period


Ticker


A short combination of letters used to identify the stake pool


PoolId


The ID of the stake pool

Bech32


The Bech32 address of the stake pool

Tax


A fee that the owner/operator of the stake pool can set. It is the percentage taken by the owner/operator after the fixed cost is deducted but before the staking rewards are distributed, pro-rata. 


Fixed cost


A set fee that is deducted first to cover the pool’s operational cost. 340 is the minimum fixed ADA staking fee, set across the Cardano network. This cost is split between all delegators in the pool, so the cost to each user is negligible.

Step 6: Review 


A breakdown of the costs will be displayed.


Review the details, then press ‘Submit’:




Step 7: Trezor Confirmations


You will be asked to connect and set up your Trezor Model T device. 


Once you have set up your device, press ‘I’ve set up my Trezor’:

Trezor Connect


A new browser window will open with Trezor Connect. 

Select ‘Allow once for this session’

Note: If you select ‘Don’t ask me again’ in this step, you will be given the option to ‘Always allow for this service’, in which case you will not have to repeat this step in future.

Enter Passphrase


You will be prompted to enter your passphrase, as shown below.


Default Wallet


If you wish to carry out staking using your default wallet, do not input anything into the passphrase/confirm passphrase boxes, press ‘Enter’ and skip to Step 8.

Your Trezor device will display the screen ‘Passphrase entry’ during this step:

Hidden Wallet


If you wish to use a Hidden Wallet for this transaction, input and confirm a hidden wallet passphrase and press ‘Enter’:

Access Hidden Wallet? 


On the Trezor device, you will be asked to confirm if you want to access the hidden wallet, as shown below. 


Press the green checkmark on-screen to confirm this. 



Use this passphrase? 


You will then be shown the passphrase you entered on the browser to confirm you wish to use it. 


Press the green checkmark on-screen to confirm this. 




Once access is approved to the Hidden Wallet the browser window will update, instructing you to complete the transaction on your Trezor, as shown below: 





Step 8: Trezor Confirmations


You will be required to carry out the below confirmations on your Trezor device:

Step 9: Transaction Submitting


After confirming the transaction, the Trezor sign transaction web page should close and you will be returned to your NuFi wallet, where it will show the transaction submitting: 





Step 10: Successfully Staked


When staking has successfully been activated, you will be shown the below:
