If you skipped the recovery phrase when setting up NUFI (for example because you only use a hardware wallet), you can create one later. You need a recovery phrase to create hot wallet accounts.

Do this somewhere private. Anyone who sees your recovery phrase can control your funds.

1. Open NUFI and log in.
2. Click Settings in the left-hand sidebar.
3. Find Activate NUFI recovery phrase and click Activate.
4. Read the notice and click Activate.
5. Write down the words in order and store them safely offline. Never share them, take a screenshot, or save them in a digital file. Click I have written it down.
6. Confirm your phrase by selecting the missing words in the right order.
7. Click Continue to return to Settings.

You can now create hot wallet accounts via + Add account → Add new account.
