Please note that you will not be able to create new mnemonic accounts without activating a recovery phrase. You will also need at least one Cardano mnemonic wallet to access WingRiders, which you will need a recovery phrase for.

Step 1: Access NuFi Wallet

Access NuFi Wallet.

Step 2: Portfolio

You will be taken to your portfolio.

Select ‘Settings’ on the left-hand side:

In the settings, scroll down until you see ‘Activate NuFi recovery phrase (mnemonic)’, then press ‘Activate’

Step 4: Activate NuFi recovery phrase

You will be shown the below information.

It is highly recommended that you carry out this step in a private environment, to reduce the risk of exposing your recovery phrase to anybody.

Press ‘Activate’:

Step 5: Wallet recovery phrase

You will be shown your wallet recovery phrase. DO NOT SHARE THIS WITH ANYONE. This example has deliberately obscured the words in the recovery phrase.

Ensure you write these words down in order and store them safely offline.

Once you have done that, press ‘I have written it down’.

Step 6: Confirm recovery phrase

You will see 11 of your recovery words pre-filled and 4 blanks, with the missing recovery words at the bottom of the screen. Select the words in the order which will correctly populate the blanks.

Entering an incorrect recovery phrase

If you enter the words in the incorrect order, you will be shown the following message. Press 'Try again...' to return to the recovery phrase screen, as shown below:

Step 7: Recovery phrase successfully activated

Once you have confirmed your recovery phrase, you will be shown the below:

Press ‘Continue’ to return to settings.
