NuFi’s exchange feature uses Changelly to allow users to exchange between cryptocurrencies effectively and efficiently.

This article will demonstrate how to exchange a cryptocurrency in your NuFi wallet to a supported cryptocurrency in an external wallet.

Step 1: Access NuFi Wallet

Access NuFi wallet. You will be taken to the Portfolio page.

Step 2: Exchange

For the asset you want to exchange, select ‘Exchange’ as shown below.

This article will demonstrate using Cardano.

Step 3: Exchange Screen

The Exchange screen will then be displayed. You will need to input some details of the exchange.

Step 4: Exchange Details

Fill in the details of the asset you want to exchange from, and what you want to exchange to, then press ‘Continue’.

This example demonstrates exchanging Cardano to Tezos. A breakdown of each field is outlined below.

From

Asset

The asset you are exchanging from will automatically be input since this was selected in Step 2.

Fund From

Where the asset is being funded from; an external address outside of your NuFi wallet or an account within your NuFi wallet.

As this article is exchanging from one of your own NuFi accounts, select ‘My account’

Account

Use the dropdown to select the account you want the exchange to take place from.

This article uses funds from the account ‘ADA_1’

Amount to exchange

Input the amount of the asset (which is Cardano in this demonstration) you want to exchange.

Please note that there are minimum and maximum amounts you can exchange, which will vary depending on what you are exchanging to.

Network Fee

An approximate network fee that will be deducted for the transaction to take place.  

To

Asset

The asset you want to exchange to

Receive to

Specify if you want an external address to receive the asset or an account within your NuFi wallet

Address to receive

The receiving address in which the exchanged asset will be sent to

Estimated amount to receive

The estimated amount of the exchanged asset you will receive.

In this example, approximately 8 Tezos will be received by exchanging 31.5 Cardano.

Conversion Rate

The current conversation rate of the asset you are exchanging from, to the asset you are exchanging to, will be displayed

Step 5: Exchange

You will be shown a breakdown of the transaction.

Ensure you read and accept the Terms & Conditions, enter the wallet password and then press ‘Exchange’:

Step 6: Submitting

Whilst the transaction submits, you will see the below page on NuFi:

Step 7: Changelly Exchanging

Details of the exchange will be displayed:

Viewing Progress

Please note that clicking the Changelly ID link will give you further information about the transaction, such as the status of the transaction.  You can also close the dialogue and view the progress of the exchange at any time. This can be done by selecting ‘Exchange’ from the Portfolio page, where you will see a list of your exchanges happening:

After the awaiting stage, the transaction will go through the following stages:

• Confirming
• Exchanging
• Sending

Step 8: Successful

Once the transaction has been successful, the funds will appear in the specified payout address wallet.  

Within the ‘Exchange detail’ page, you will see the below, confirming the success of the exchange.
