How long unstaking takes depends on whether your FLOW is already Staked or still Committed (i.e. waiting for the next epoch).


Unstaking staked FLOW (takes up to about 2 weeks)
  1. Click Staking in the left-hand sidebar and open FLOW staking.
  2. Click your Flow account, then find your stake; open the three dots (⋮), and choose Unstake tokens.
  3. Enter the amount and click Continue.
  4. Review and approve the transaction, then click Close.


Your FLOW then moves through three states:

  • Requested to unstake: until the current epoch ends (up to about 7 days). It keeps earning rewards during this time.
  • Unstaking: for one full epoch (about 7 days). No rewards.
  • Unstaked: ready to withdraw to your available balance or restake.

Unstake committed FLOW

Committed FLOW is FLOW you've staked or restaked that's waiting for the next epoch to start. Because it isn't staked yet, you can unstake it instantly, with no waiting period.

  1. Click Staking in the left-hand sidebar and open FLOW staking.
  2. Click your Flow account, find your stake, open the three dots (⋮), and choose Unstake tokens.
  3. Enter the amount and click Continue.
  4. Review and approve the transaction, then click Close.


  • The amount appears immediately under Unstaked, ready to withdraw or restake.
  • Unstaking more than your committed amount? NUFI unstakes all your committed FLOW first (instantly), and takes the rest from your staked FLOW. That part goes through the normal unstaking wait of up to about 2 weeks.


Withdraw unstaked FLOW

Once unstaked FLOW shows under Unstaked, withdraw it to your available balance to spend or send it.


  1. Click Staking in the left-hand sidebar and open FLOW staking.
  2. Click your Flow account, find your stake, open the three dots (⋮), and choose Withdraw unstaked.
  3. Enter the amount and click Continue.
  4. Review and approve the transaction and click Close.


  • The FLOW is in your available balance straight away.


Restake unstaked FLOW

Changed your mind after unstaking? You can restake Unstaked FLOW without withdrawing it first.

  1. Click Staking in the left-hand sidebar and open FLOW staking.
  2. Click your Flow account, find your stake, open the three dots (⋮), and choose Restake unstaked.
  3. Enter the amount and click Continue.
  4. Review and approve the transaction and click Close.


The FLOW shows as Committed until the next epoch starts (up to about 7 days), then becomes Staked and starts earning again.
