Welcome to NuFi wallet's knowledge base. Learn more about NuFi (and access the wallet) on our homepage here or ask a question in our Discord server here.
You can connect your NuFi wallet to a decentralized app (Dapp) even if it doesn't support NuFi directly (i.e. NuFi wallet isn't listed among the supported wallets).
This is thanks to a feature called Wallet Emulation, which lets NuFi connect in place of a wallet that the Dapp does support.
With Wallet Emulation, you can connect to DApps that support:
- Phantom and Backpack wallets (for Solana and SVM chains)
- Eternl wallet (for Cardano)
- MetaMask wallet (for Ethereum and EVM chains)
- Flow Reference Wallet (for Flow)
To use Wallet Emulation:
1) Disable the relevant wallet extension
To connect in place of MetaMask wallet, first disable MetaMask wallet extension by clicking the Extensions icon > Manage extensions, then switch the toggle from blue to grey (see image).
This disables the extension but doesn't remove it. Switch it back to blue to enable it again.
2) Reload and then connect
Reload any pages and connect as the wallet that's now disabled (MetaMask, in our example).
NuFi will launch instead. If NuFi doesn't launch, please check that the supported wallet extension is disabled, reload the Dapp page, then try again.
If you need any assistance, don't hesitate to ask in our Discord server here or by opening a support ticket here.
