You can buy ADA using a bank card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfer and other payment options (depending on your country of residence) by clicking on the Buy/Sell button in the wallet widget. Buying and selling ADA is done through a 3rd-party service called Moonpay.
Important: if it’s your first time buying ADA, you’ll likely need to complete KYC (which stands for ‘Know Your Customer’); this is an automated process that takes several minutes and involves uploading a document (like a driver’s license or passport) to confirm your identity. You can learn more about which documents are accepted here.
KYC is used to prevent fraudulent or illegal activities, and once you’ve completed this process, you won’t need to do it again.
To buy Cardano (ADA):
Click Buy/Sell in the wallet widget; NuFi will open in a new browser tab and you’ll be logged in automatically
You’ll see the Buy/Sell window; select Cardano as the asset you want to buy; below that, make sure your account is selected as the receiving account
Click Continue and choose how much ADA you want to buy
Click Continue; enter your email address, receive a one-time verification code by email and enter this, and then follow Moonpay’s instructions to enter payment details and complete the purchase
The ADA you purchase will be deposited into your wallet after several minutes; you may need to click the Reload icon at the top of the wallet widget (or at the top of NuFi wallet’s interface) before this ADA becomes visible.
You can track your orders and edit settings such as payment methods by clicking the icon in the top-right of the Buy/Sell window:
