There are two actions for getting SOL out of a stake account:

  • Unstake: stops some or all of your SOL from being staked. It deactivates at the end of the current epoch (up to about 2 days), then shows as inactive.
  • Withdraw: moves inactive SOL, and any MEV rewards, from the stake account back to your available balance.


You'll find both buttons next to each stake account on your Solana staking dashboard.

You'll need a little SOL in your available balance to pay the transaction fees.


Unstake and withdraw all your SOL
  1. In your Solana staking dashboard, click an account to open its stake accounts.
  2. Find the stake account and click Unstake.
  3. Choose a priority fee. A higher fee helps your transaction go through faster when the network is busy.
  4. Click Unstake and sign the transaction (hardware wallet users approve on their device).
  5. Wait for the stake account's status to change to Inactive, usually by the end of the current epoch.
  6. Click Withdraw to move the SOL to your available balance.

Unstake a custom amount (e.g. to take out your rewards)

Regular staking rewards are added to your stake automatically, so to take them out you unstake that amount.

  1. In your Solana staking dashboard, click an account to open its stake accounts.
  2. Find the stake account and click Unstake.
  3. Untick Unstake the whole staking balance and enter the amount you want.
  4. Choose a priority fee, click Unstake, and sign the transaction.
  5. NUFI moves that amount into a new stake account and deactivates it; the rest stays staked. 

    Once the new account shows as Inactive, usually by the end of the current epoch, click Withdraw.

MEV rewards

Some validators, including NUFI's, pay extra MEV rewards (from Jito) into your stake account. Unlike regular rewards, they aren't staked, so you can withdraw them straight away without unstaking.


Your Withdrawable column shows any MEV rewards plus any unstaked SOL waiting to be withdrawn. When it's more than 0.01 SOL:

  1. In your Solana staking dashboard, click an account to open its stake accounts. 
  2. Find the stake account and click Withdraw.
  3. Choose an amount and a priority fee.
  4. Click Withdraw and sign the transaction.
  • The SOL arrives in your available balance immediately.
