Problem:
I started staking SOL and created a staking account but it says my stake is ‘inactive’.
Solution:
Staking SOL on Solana’s blockchain is a two-step process. First, you create a staking account by choosing an amount to stake, then you choose a validator and confirm it on the blockchain.
If you’ve created an account and it says ‘inactive’, it means you haven’t yet completed the second step. To fix this, click the 3 dots on the right side, select ‘Activate’ and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
When you stop staking, you’ll also see the label ‘inactive’ after the cooldown period has ended. This means that your funds can now be withdrawn and returned to your available balance; to do this, click on the 3 dots on the right, select ‘Withdraw’ and follow the on-screen instructions.
