This article will demonstrate how to import a wallet into the NuFi Browser Extension using a recovery phrase. Before doing this, you will need to install NuFi's browser extension; read this article for help with this. 

You will need to have your 12, 15 or 24-word seed phrase to hand. If you don't have this, please see the article ‘Show Recovery Phrase’ for information on how to obtain your NuFi recovery phrase.  

Please note that if you are importing a wallet with a recovery phrase, any hardware wallets accounts will not be restored and will have to be re-imported. In contrast, importing via a wallet backup will contain both mnemonic and hardware accounts, plus any wallet customisations. It is the easiest and fastest way to import your wallet to another device. To restore a wallet from a backup file, please see the article ‘Import Wallet using Backup file’.

Step 1: Access Google Chrome

Access Google Chrome.

Step 2: Select NuFi Extension

Select the NuFi browser extension.

Step 3: Restore Wallet

When logging in for the first time, you will be presented with the below options.

Select ‘Restore Wallet’.

Step 4: Recovery phrase

Select ‘Recovery phrase’, where you will be shown the below:

Step 5: Recovery phrase length

You will need to select the correct recovery phrase length, depending on how long your recovery phrase is. This will either be 12, 15, or 24 words.

This example will demonstrate with a 12-word recovery phrase.

Select the correct recovery phrase length and enter the recovery phrase. Then read and agree to the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, then press ‘Continue’

Step 6: Enter Wallet Name and Password

You will then be prompted to enter a wallet name and password.

Set the wallet name, set and confirm a password, then press ‘Recover’

Step 7: Wallet Restored

Once your wallet has been restored, you will see the below.

Press ‘Go to wallet’.

Step 8: Portfolio

You will then see your assets within the NuFi browser Extension wallet.
