Welcome to NuFi wallet's knowledge base. Learn more about NuFi (and access the wallet) on our homepage here or ask a question in our Discord server here.

The wallet widget appears in the corner of the screen after you’ve connected to a blockchain application. It allows you to interact with the app and displays your wallet’s information, with additional tools to buy, sell and swap tokens.

Good to know: the blockchain apps you connect to with NuFiConnect are built on Cardano blockchain, which uses a token called Cardano (with the label ‘ADA’). You’ll need this token to pay a small transaction fee when you perform certain actions.

Receive

This tab shows your Cardano wallet’s receiving address, which acts as your unique identity on the blockchain.

You can share this address with somebody if they want to send you crypto tokens (as long as those tokens use the Cardano blockchain).

You can use this receiving address as the destination if you buy ADA on a cryptocurrency exchange and want to send it to your Cardano wallet.

If you do this, be sure to select ‘Cardano’ as the network used to make the withdrawal from the exchange.

The QR code is a visual representation of your wallet’s receiving address; you can scan this QR code on a mobile device to quickly enter your receiving address instead of typing it manually.

Important: cryptocurrency transactions (like   sending tokens from one wallet to another) cannot be undone if you make a mistake (like entering the wrong wallet address).

Be sure to copy and paste addresses using the ‘copy to clipboard’ icon rather than typing out a receiving address manually, and always double check everything.

Activity

On this tab, you’ll see a list of transactions. These are actions you’ve performed (such as sending or swapping tokens) that have been recorded on the blockchain.

Clicking on a transaction will show more details about it. You can learn more about transactions here.

Settings

  1. Currency; here you can select which currency to use when displaying monetary values

  2. Recovery phrase; clicking this will show your wallet’s recovery phrase, which is like a 24-word ‘master key.’

It allows you to restore your wallet and its contents in the event that you lose access to your social account and can’t log in. Learn more about your recovery phrase here.

Important: this recovery phrase can be used to access your wallet on any device and it grants the recovery phrase holder full access to the wallet’s contents.

If you share this information with somebody, they can access your wallet and steal your funds.

Never share your recovery phrase with anybody, not even customer service.

We recommend that you write down this phrase carefully and store it in a safe place offline.

  3. Log out; clicking this will sign you out of your wallet and disconnect your wallet from the application
