You can stake the SOL on your Trezor Model T, Safe 3, Safe 5 or Safe 7 through NUFI. Your SOL is held in a stake account controlled by your Trezor, and every staking transaction is approved on the device.
Before you start
- Pair your Trezor's Solana accounts with NUFI. See Manage Trezor using NUFI wallet.
- Update your Trezor firmware, close Trezor Suite completely, and allow popups in your browser so Trezor Connect can open.
- Keep some SOL unstaked for fees and the stake account's rent deposit (about 0.0023 SOL, returned when you withdraw everything). At least 0.01 SOL is a good rule of thumb.
Steps
- Click Stake Now next to SOL on the Home screen, or click Staking in the left-hand sidebar.
- Choose your Trezor Solana account and click Stake SOL.
- Enter how much SOL to stake, and choose a validator or use the recommended one.
- Review the transaction in NUFI, then approve it on your Trezor.
- Your stake becomes active at the end of the current epoch (up to about 2 days), and your first rewards usually arrive within about 5 days.
- To unstake or withdraw, see How to unstake and withdraw SOL.
Troubleshooting
The staking transaction keeps failing
- Not enough SOL for fees and rent: add a little more SOL, or stake a slightly smaller amount.
- The transaction expired: Solana transactions expire quickly, so approve on your Trezor within about a minute.
Trezor Connect doesn't pop up
Your browser is probably blocking it. Allow popups and redirects for NUFI in your browser settings, and look for a "popup blocked" icon in or next to the address bar.
Trezor Connect opens but my device isn't listed
Your browser hasn't connected to the device yet. Unplug and reconnect your Trezor, and watch for a browser prompt (often top-left) asking to connect to a device. Click your Trezor in that prompt, then click Connect.
